Alpha Mu Chapter

We were founded at Purdue University in 1984 by two women with the vision of creating a social sorority for women and non-binary people that can empathize with the shared experiences of pursuing a STEM-based degree. The Alpha Mu chapter at CU Boulder was founded in 2017 with the focus of developing the values of scholarship, encouragement, and friendship in our sisters as we support their collegiate journey.
Philanthropy
Our national philanthropy is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through events such as the Light the Night Walk. We also support additional organizations such as the Girls Scouts of America and the Phi Sigma Rho Foundation through the DreamGirls Initiative. This outreach initiative connects our sisters to girls in K-8 through hands-on learning opportunities to support their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Our past volunteering and fundraising events include roller skating, hill cleanups, clothing drives, PB n' Lovin', and more!
