Letter of Completion Information
A letter of completion can be provided by the Graduate School in cases where a graduate student has fulfilled all degree requirements, but the degree will not be formally conferred by the University until a future date. The letter can be used to provide proof of degree completion for employers, academic institutions, etc.Â
Please submit the form only after all degree requirements have been met, including completion and grading of all courses, submission of thesis or dissertation if applicable, etc.Â
If your degree has already been conferred by the university, a transcript is the official way to show degree completion. Transcripts can be requested through the Buff Portal for both current and former students.
Submission and ReviewÂ
Once submitted, the Graduate School will ensure that all degree requirements have been met and will send the letter of completion via your colorado.edu e-mail address. It can also be sent to other e-mail addresses you provide.
