Florina Lopez is an Indigenous woman from Panama, a co-founder and coordinator of the Indigenous Women's Biodiversity Network, and an Indigenous activist. In 1992, she began her participation in the struggle for the recognition of the rights of Indigenous women in all aspects, in the strengthening of leadership and their political participation at all levels.
Since 1998, Lopez has been actively participating in the process of the Convention on Biological Diversity. She also served on the Global Committee for the UN World Conference on Indigenous People.
