Abstract:
This week’s colloquium is a book launch event hosted byÌýthe Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Radical CartographiesÌýsubstantive chapters are written by Indigenous and Afro-descendent authors. Shedding light on the innovative uses of participatory mapping emerging from Latin America’s marginalized communities, this diverse collection reconceptualizes what maps mean as representations of identity and place.
