Lisa grew up in New York City and Connecticut, and now lives in Boulder with her two children, slow-to-mature dog, and Betta fish. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from The University of Vermont and later her Master of Science in Special Education from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. Upon completion of her master’s program, Lisa taught in a variety of K-12 schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Boulder. In addition to classroom teaching, she has provided academic coaching and executive functioning support to high school students in college prep programs and has designed individualized, goal-based plans for her students with the objective of self-sufficiency and academic excellence.

In her free time, Lisa enjoys playing or spectating almost any sport with her children, running, hiking, skiing, solid time with friends, and live music of all sorts.
