- The Leadership & Community Engagement major prepares ethical, skilled leaders committed to addressing complex public challenges in our nation and across the world. Through this program, students develop a deep conceptual understanding of theories of leadership, public policy and social change.
- The certificate in writing allows students to gain an understanding of and demonstrate expertise in writing studies, broadly defined. It offers a curriculum that goes well beyond the writing courses that schools and colleges require of all students, thereby preparing students for professional life and enriching students' awareness of writing as a life-long tool for civic engagement.

From Anglo-Saxon literature to digital media studies, from the earliest English novels to contemporary graphic novels, faculty and students work to advance an understanding of the English Language’s cultural and literary history.

International affairs majors begin their studies with a survey of the most compelling global issues of the day and then go on to detailed analyses of international relations and economics. Courses also focus on problems of international development, the environment, international economic relations and United States foreign policy.

The Real Estate program educates students about the three fundamental building blocks of real estate: real estate property markets; real estate capital markets; and the legal environment where real estate is built, bought, sold, valued, used as security for mortgages, taxed, owned and rented.

The Marketing program develops students' analytic and decision-making skills in such areas as digital marketing, customer relationship management, advertising, market research, brand/product management, selling and sales management, distribution, relationship marketing, international marketing, marketing consumer products and services, and marketing nonprofit organizations.

There are six tracks within this area: Strategy & Entrepreneurship; Talent Management; Leadership; Information Management; Operations Management; and Business Analytics.

The Media Studies minor emphasizes the creative and analytical skills needed to make sense of current and future trends in media, and to gain a deep understanding of the history and development of various means and forms of communication. Explorations of media theory, history, criticism, practices, popular culture, technology and emerging cultures are enhanced by practical training in media design, storytelling, digital art, online community engagement, documentary filmmaking and social media.

A Cinema Studies major helps students develop skills to analyze the art of film and moving images. The program provides knowledge on the history, methodology, aesthetic value, and production of cinematic storytelling. Critical thinking and writing skills are heavily emphasized as students examine cinema through film screenings, readings, and lectures.

Anthropology is the study of people, both ancient and modern, in their cultural, biological and environmental contexts. Anthropologists get to ask and answer the big questions about humanity. Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? A minor in anthropology allows students to explore the foundations of anthropology and its subfields: archaeology, biological anthropology and cultural anthropology.
