Join us for the 6th Annual Children's Book Festival:��November 9, 2024, at Boulder Public Library

The CU Boulder��School of Education and the Boulder Bookstore invite teachers, students, families, librarians, and all who enjoy children’s literature to join us for the 2024 Children's Book Festival.

Saturday, November 9: In-person event at the Boulder Public Library

�� |��10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Free in-person event open to the public with author talks, a panel for educators, book sales and signing, children’s activities and more.��
Sessions catered to different ages with audience Q&A.
Authors and illustrators��will share their new books and talk about their creative process and influences.
Free educational resources and Continuing Education Units (CEUs)��will be available for teachers and librarians.
Free parking will be available in the Library's parking lots (: Lots 95405 & 95406)

10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.	Picturebook Session Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw featuring Like You, Like Me A book signing with the author will follow the session. (Canyon Theater)
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.	Picturebook Session Brittany Cicchese featuring No More Señora Mimí  A book signing with the author will follow the session. (Canyon Theater)
11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.	Picturebook Session Julie Leung featuring Mr. Pei's Perfect Shapes: The Story of Architect I. M. Pei  A book signing with the author will follow the session. (Canyon Theater)
12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.	Panel for Educators and Librarians “Children’s Literature in Today’s Classrooms: Perspectives from Authors and Illustrators” (featuring the six festival authors and illustrators) Children's activities will be available in the children's area during this time as well. 1:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.	Book Signing - All Authors and Illustrators (Canyon Gallery) Children's Activities (Children's Area Section / Mt. Sanitas Room) Exhibit Tables (Children's Area Section)
2:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.	Chapter Book Session Chris Grabenstein featuring Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library: The Graphic Novel ��Ի� Mr. Lemoncello's Fantabulous Finale A book signing with the author will follow the session. (Canyon Theater)
3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.	Chapter Book Session Amalie Howard featuring Bumps in the Night A book signing with the author will follow the session. (Canyon Theater)

Friday, November 8: Authors & illustrators visit local schools

Authors and illustrators will visit pre-selected schools in Boulder Valley School District, St. Vrain Valley School District, and other surrounding areas.
Authors and illustrators will share about their books and creative processes to inspire children's reading and writing.
Books will be provided to children and teachers in the partner schools for reading and author signing.
