REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) is an annual ten week summer program held by the University of Huston’s Cullen College of Engineering. In this program, participants will build research laboratory skills, develop written and oral presentation skills, establish professional network, and explore social activities in Huston along with earning a $5000 stipend. Examples of potential projects include flexible and stretchable batteries, smart antifouling coatings to prevent corrosion, bio-renewable polymer resins for infrastructure, and electrochemistry for next-generation energy storage.

The application deadline is March 9, 2018, but the applications will be reviewed on a first-come first-served basis. So the earlier you apply the better your changes are for being accepted. For more information contact Drs. Haleh Ardebili and Jacinta Conrad at reu2018@egr.uh.edu.
