T.J. McLemore
- PhD Candidate
T. J. McLemore is a PhD candidate specializing in contemporary speculative literature with an emphasis on ecocritical approaches to science fictions, speculative verse, and the new weird. His dissertation project draws on speculative poetics, the posthumanities, critical environmental justice studies, and Black and Indigenous studies to argue for the importance of “speculative ecologies” in imagining ourselves as ethically Earthbound. McLemore holds a BA with honors in English and Environmental Studies from Baylor University and an MFA in Creative Writing, Poetry, from Boston University. He is the author of the chapbook (Autumn House, 2020), and his poems, interviews, and reviews appear in Best New Poets, New England Review, Crazyhorse, LitMag, 32 Poems, Poetry Daily, Kenyon Review Online, Adroit Journal, Massachusetts Review, and other publications. At CU, McLemore also serves as Technical Editor of the digital humanities platform Romantic Circles. If he’s not reading, writing, or coding, he’s probably out there biking, hiking, or skiing.
