Annika Armstrong

Annika Armstrong is an MA in Literature student at the University of Colorado Boulder. After graduating with a B.A. in English and a Secondary Teaching Licensure from Southern Adventist University in 2020, Annika taught high school English for three years in Hawaii.
Annika’s research interests are in Critical Theory, specifically Feminism, Affect Theory, and Narrative Theory, and she also enjoys British literature, contemporary literature, and poetry. Her undergraduate thesis “Power Reclaimed and Given: Female Passivity and Agency in Harris, Brand, and Smith” was published in Southern Adventist University’s Journal of Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research and awarded the English department’s Senior Research and Scholarship Award. Her paper “The Incorporation of O Caledonia” was accepted for presentation at the 2020 Sigma Tau Delta Conference.
Outside of study, Annika enjoys plant-based baking and outdoor activities with her husband, such as hiking, backpacking, and trail running.
