Brian Hand

Brian is an Engineering Career Advisor for students within the College of Engineering and Applied Science. He completed a Doctoral degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Maryland. He also holds a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. Brian’s career includes work as an engineer in the pharmaceutical, filtration, and failure analysis industries, as well as a university professor. He has previously advised CU Boulder students interested in healthcare careers. Brian is excited to work with students in facilitating their career exploration and in supporting them in their search for meaningful and rewarding work. In his spare time, he enjoys endurance sports and outdoor adventures with his wife and Australian shepherd.
