Olivia Cox is a North Carolina native with seven years of experience in early elementary classrooms as a kindergarten and first grade teacher and an instructional coach. Before joining the CU Boulder community, Olivia taught in charter schools in Durham, North Carolina and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her research interests include literacy in early elementary classrooms, charter schools and school reform, trauma and trauma-informed pedagogy, and teacher education.
