Jasón Romero, Jr. was born and raised in Pueblo, CO. After graduating from Pueblo Community College, he began attending the University of Colorado Boulder and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Ethnic Studies in 2018. While beginning work on a Masters in Curriculum and Education through the School of Education, Romero began his career as a Chicano Studies teacher in southwest Denver, where he has continued to work for the past 5 1/2 years. When he is not teaching or working on the , Romero enjoys doing work to support the Aquetza youth leadership program and other community-based projects that seek to address challenges around race, class and other systems of oppression in the United States.
