The ad hoc budget sustainability committee had our third scheduled meeting on Wednesday, May 8. At this meeting, we heard presentations from School of Education staff and faculty about our budget projections for FY25. We also learned more about the organizational structure of our school, with presentations about funding sources, and the number of and reporting structures for staff, faculty and graduate students. The School of Education is a small, but complex, organization. We’re committed to learning more about this complexity and recognizing the varied and important work of so many people in our organization.  Â
In addition to these presentations, we have been gathering additional information on our budget and structure, with assistance from the School of Education Leadership Team. We have also realized that we need more frequent meetings; we anticipate our committee will meet at least weekly in May and June. Â
We have also appreciated learning from many of you! Thanks to everyone who attended our first two office hours. We hope more of you can drop by—in person or online ( for details on upcoming times).
