2020 School of Education Graduation
Congratulations to all of our #EdBuffs graduates! We are so proud of you. Commencement is one of our most beloved traditions, and we are heartbroken not to be able to celebrate it in person with our 2020 graduates this May. We hope you will engage and celebrate with us online through the CU Boulder virtual graduation, by submitting kudos for your fellow classmates, and by sending us photos and quotes for us to include in our graduation video (coming soon!).
Join the celebration
Join CU Boulder for a livestreamed commencement ceremony on May 16, 12:00 pm MDT. And to celebrate in person, we invite you to join us on campus next spring, where we can fully celebrate our Class of 2020 with special recognition events, including the traditional procession in commencement regalia from Norlin Quad to Folsom Field.
Please leave a note of encouragement and congratulations to our CU Boulder School of Education graduates to welcome them into our #ForeverBuffs family.

We asked graduates from our teacher licensure, minor, master's and doctoral programs: what will you remember most? Who do you want to thank? What are some of your favorite photos from your time at CU Boulder? Here is what they shared.
Typically, our live commencement events include a print program with graduates' names for all to see. We look forward to including this year’s graduates in our next printed program at our future in-person. For now, check out the online listing of the class of 2020.
Congratulations, graduates!
Graduation season is our favorite time of year. While it does not look the way that any of us imagined, I want you to know we are so proud of all our graduates and all that you’ve accomplished this year and all that you will take with you moving forward.
We look forward to celebrating you with the love and joy you deserve once we can safely be together again at the School of Education Graduation Ceremony & Reception in May 2021. In the meantime, we are excited to celebrate you in a variety of ways.
This is an important time for education, and I suspect we will see many changes in the next few years. We can only hope that, as a country, we have learned from the past few months and can use what we have learned to transform education. This pandemic affects individuals, populations and parts of the world unequally, and I know you will continue to stand up for justice in your classrooms and communities now and in the future.
As you begin and continue your journey in education, you each give me hope and inspiration. I look forward to staying in touch with you and learning how you and your work continue to flourish.
Warmly,
Kathy Schultz, Dean
