A record 13 projectsled bySchool of Education researchershave been granted 2017-18 OutreachAwards to helpsupport community engagement projects aimed at improving college readiness for students of color,faciltiating community dialogues around "opting out" of state assessments, starting a worker-owned co-op, and more.
Selected by the CU Boulder Outreach Committee,comprised of faculty and community members,outreach projects connect CU Boulder faculty research, creative work, or teaching with external community partners and constituents. The grants are awarded on a competitive basis andindividual faculty projects can earn up to $8,000 in funding whileinterdisciplinary or interdepartmentalprojects can receive up to $24,000 in support.
