³Ûñ¾±²µ´Ç Velayo is a multiracial Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Therapist. He was born and raised in the Philippines and has a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University.Ìý He joined theÌýCAPSÌýSubstance Abuse Services Team in 2007.Ìý³Ûñ¾±²µ´Ç teaches Focus on Alcohol Concerns (FAC) classes and facilitates STARS (Striving To Achieve Real Success) groups. Drawing on his skills and interests as a researcher, he also develops program evaluations for FAC and STARS.Ìý ³Ûñ¾±²µ´Ç has training and experience in working with individuals who are diverse in their cultural and ethnic background, sexual orientation, class, age and other areas.
³Ûñ¾±²µ´Ç enjoys working with the students at CU because he believes that with this age group, small changes made now can have large effects down the road.
