Cost share covers the聽additional聽contributions/support聽toward a project/award聽not funded by the sponsor.聽Cost share includes both mandatory and voluntary commitments.

CU聽Boulder's cost share accountant聽assists with the following:

  • Reviews cost shares to ensure CU聽Boulder is in compliance with federal statutes, regulations,聽CU policies and procedures,听补苍诲 terms and conditions of the award
  • Monitors all聽cost shares

  • Helps to determine if charges are allowable, allocable and reasonable
  • Creates cost share reports and certifications for federal, state听补苍诲 private awards

鈥婸articipant Support Costs

Participant support is a portion of the award specifically created by the sponsoring agency to enrich learning experiences. Monitoring is completed by the cost share accountant聽on a quarterly basis to ensure expenses meet the participant support guidelines, and specifically the聽restrictions, contained in the terms and conditions of participant聽award.
