Be part of the CMCI first-year experience.
Live and learn with like-minded peers by joining CMCI’s Communication and Society Residential Academic Program, based in Buckingham Hall. Our program blends the opportunities of a large research university with the warmth and personal connections of a smaller environment.
Courses taught in Buckingham Hall through CommRAP are designed to fulfill a CMCI major or core requirement and/or an Arts and Sciences general education requirement.
Concepts and Creativity
Concepts and Creativity is a unique class that introduces you to the CMCI approach, provides opportunities for hands-on experience and connects you to the CMCI community from your first day at CU.
Recitations for this course are taught within Buckingham as part of the CommRAP curriculum.
First-Year Focused Academic Support
CMCI is present in every day Buckingham life with four rostered faculty and one administrative staffer who have offices in the residence hall. Many required CMCI freshman courses are taught within Buckingham by professors within the college.
CMCI advisors have weekly office hours for Buckingham residents and we are visited regularly by our Dean.
Our weekly Writing Lab can help you fine tune your written work for a variety of classes.
