The long-awaited Rustandy Building held a virtual soft launch on Friday, Jan. 29. CU’s newest addition to campus connects the Koebel building, home of the Leeds School of Business, to the Engineering Center. The Leeds School of Business wrote that the building “represents a new era of collaboration and innovation at the CU Boulder campus” and that it serves to break down “traditional disciplinary boundaries in order to actively foster crossfunctional competencies in our students.” The building is named for Leeds alumnus Tandean Rustandy (Fin’87), founder and CEO of PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk, and one of Indonesia’s top businessmen. This year marks the only September date of first snowfall since 2014. With sunny days in the forecast, many CU students and skiing enthusiasts hope for more snow to come.

It wouldn't be summertime in Boulder without a cloudless blue sky and a high above 90. As this week rolls into a heat wave, campus' pristine lawns can offer a moment of solice with shady spots and unobstructed Flatiron views. This spot on the business school lawn is especially serene.

You don't need this year's solstice — Saturday, June 20 — to tell that summer has arrived in Boulder. With flowers blooming, the average temperature has been a warm 89 degrees over the past two weeks.

Restaurants on The Hill and Pearl Street have utilized the nice weather to open into expanded outdoor seating in parking lots and closed-off streets. And while summer classes are fully remote this year, campus is still as beautiful as ever with its welcoming greenery, calming open spaces and full trees. Walk over the bridge at Varsity Lake and you’ll even spot some sun-bathing turtles.
