Prior, Lauren was director of content and communications for PowerPublish, a small content marketing startup. In April, Erich Schubert (Jour’05; MA’08) was named vice president of communications and content for the Denver Broncos. Entering his 16th season with the Broncos, Erich works closely with the club’s chief communications officer and chief marketing officer. In addition to his involvement with the team’s day-to-day football, corporate and internal communications plans, Erich oversees the content department for the Broncos, which in 2022 became the first NFL franchise to win a Webby Award, often regarded as the internet’s highest honor. He began his career with the Broncos as a media relations intern in 2008 after working in the CU Boulder Sports Information Office with David Plati (´³´Ç³Ü°ù’82).

Darren Mueller (Mus’05) has just published his book At the Vanguard of Vinyl: A Cultural History of the Long-Playing Record in Jazz. Mueller’s work examines how musicians such as Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington and Charles Mingus leveraged the jazz industry’s adoption of the long-playing record (LP) to redefine the uneven power relations of the heavily segregated music business.
