Andrew Wevers is a freelance sports photographer and photo editor based in Denver, who specializes in live workflows and automated metadata taxonomy processes. He concurrently works with organizations such as Getty Images, the PGA Tour, and USA Today Sports. His experience includes directing and ideating studio projects, managing complex remote camera setups, and leading large-scale photo operations for events like the BNP Paribas Open, the 2023 World Series run with the Texas Rangers, and editing the 2024 Summer Olympics with Getty Images. Andrew's work focuses on optimizing digital asset management and content delivery for various sports leagues and media outlets.
Andrew began his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, before transferring to Louisiana State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication specializing in public relations while working for LSU Athletics. He now is pursing an MA degree in journalism.
Beyond his professional work, Andrew is a passionate skier and a certified coach with the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA). He also holds an AMGA (American Mountain Guides Association) CWI certification and frequently climbs in the Colorado Front Range. Andrew holds dual citizenship in the United States and Canada, allowing him to work and travel globally.
