Research Interests:

I am broadly interested in emotion-related processes in psychopathology, with a particular emphasis on individual differences in emotion language and emotion regulation as risk and maintenance factors in bipolar and unipolar mood disorders. I am also interested in how stigmas against talking about mental illness and expressing emotions may contribute to health inequities in minoritized communities.
