Student groups
The envisions a world where all students are accepted and respected regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. No matter how you identify: gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual or allied, the Gender & Sexuality Alliance welcomes you. GSA hosts events throughout the year,Ìý including the annual Drag Show, queer sex education and Queer Formal.
Out in STEM (oSTEM) provides networking opportunities, professional development, social events and a safe space for the LGBTQ+ STEM students at CU Boulder. General meetings occur weekly and consist of a mix of community, social, academic and professional development events. oSTEM meetings are open to all members of the CU Boulder community.

Bring Your Own Gender (BYOG) is a social and support group for students who are transgender, nonbinary, gender-questioning and gender-creative. To see a list of the meeting dates, times and locations for the semester, visit our LGBTQ+ Student Groups page.

Local organizations
Working independently and in collaboration, Ìýfacilitates connection, advocacy, education, research and programs to ensure LGBTQ+ people and communities thrive in Boulder County and beyond. Their include Ìý , , and , among many others.Ìý
The is Denver’s LGBTQ+ community center, giving voice to Colorado’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and playing a pivotal role in statewide initiatives to reduce harassment and discrimination. The Center on Colfax provides a host of free services, targeted programs and cultural events, including social support groups, the , and , , an and many more!
There are a variety of meetups in the Boulder and Denver area that serve different identities and interest groups. Visit the to see all meetups in your area. A few examples:
- : “Queer affirming space for all Black folks in Denver area. A space to develop meaningful connections through resistance and joy. Events include game nights, queer discussions, nights downtown and other adventures. Safe space for all Black women, girls, femmes and gender non-conforming people.â€
- : “A fun way for Longmont and BoCo LGBTQQA+ adults to make new friends and nerd out on some games. Whatever we play, the goal is to have fun and make new friends within our community.â€

This is a private, judgement free group offering a great opportunity to come together and create much needed support in our community.â€
