The film is a mixed media short about an artist whose art comes to life. The tone is similar to a Pixar short, the style is similar to classic Looney Tunes or the movie Hundreds of Beavers, and will have no sync sound meaning strong physical actors are wanted.

The Creation - motion capture - The animated art created by the artist.

Join the Cast of "Five Star Realtors"!

"Five Star Realtors" is looking for CU students to join its team! Work on a BFA film with an Emmy-winning cinematographer. The film follows three morally dubious property managers who, in their pursuit of luxury, concoct a plan to scam their tenants.

Roles Available:

• Caleb
  • Caleb, the protagonist of the film, is a slimy scum lord completely fed up with the college students he is forced to interact with. With gelled back black hair and the motivation to keep his heated seat subscription paid up, he decides to scam his tenants. But along the way he learns that the people he is scamming are human too and tries to get by just like him. (Slightly older the college aged). 3 days of shooting
• Leo
  • Motivated by pure greed, Leo goes along with the scheme to scam tenants after inspiring Sarrah to come up with the plan after dropping his cigarette while swapping out a smoke detector causing damage to the carpet of the Five Star office. (Slightly older the college aged). 3 days of shooting
• Sarrah
  • The mastermind behind the entire scheme; Sarrah believes that they are entitled to the money they are scheming to scam out of their tenants. She believes that since they are scamming college students who will be making more than them later on, they are in the right taking just a little bit of their money now. (Slightly older the college aged). 3 days of shooting
• Judge
  • The Judge sternly tells the group of property managers off for all their wrongdoing. It seems they will finally get the punishment they deserve before they are let off with hardly a slap on the wrist. (40+) 1 Day of shooting
• Mr. Jones
  • Mr. Jones is a college student living in one of the units Five Star manages. After Caleb, Leo and Sarrah break into an apartment not realizing anyone is home, Mr. Jones gets injured by Caleb causing Mr. Jones to sue Five Star. (College aged) 1.5 days of shooting
• Tenant 1 (V.O.)
  • One of the tenants of a property vandalized by Five Star. (College aged) 1 day of shooting

Filming Dates: Nov 8th, 9th, and 10th

Production dates: 10/15/2024-11/30/2024 (not exact; just somewhere in that date range)

Chris -- (gender is flexible; 18-30) a laidback guy who just wants his peace and quiet... and knows more than he lets on. As one of the protagonists of the film, he's stuck between the quarreling of others who are stuck in the same body as him, and while he comes off as unlikeable on the surface, he holds good intentions underneath.

Moon -- (she/her; 18-30) a spunky girl stuck in her Kpop era who envisions her life as one big music video. She has a crush, but some certain other protagonists are getting in her way. **Must have singing/musical experience.

Sean -- (he/him preferably, but gender can be flexible; 18-30) the opposite to Moon, he's our brooding, pessimistic protagonist who wants to be understood, but also can't tear himself away from a toxic relationship he's all too aware is eating him up inside.

Kiki -- (she/her) **VOICE ONLY** an optimistic animated girl reminiscent of your typical Japanese magical girl, here to cut the bullsh*t and promote the power of friendship.

Melissa -- (she/her, but gender can be flexible; 18-30) a hopeless lesbian with an unrequited love, posing as a "good friend" trying to help her crush through a difficult time in their relationship.
