ChBE to Host AIChE Reception at San Francisco Speakeasy
Alumni and friends in the San Francisco area are invited to a reception Nov. 14 at the legendaryÌýÌý²õ±è±ð²¹°ì±ð²¹²õ²â.
Held in conjunction with the AIChE Annual Meeting, the event includes specialty craft cocktails and opportunities to mingle with alumni, faculty and friends of the department in a venue unlike any other.

The bar served as a speakeasy during the Prohibition Era and maintains the 1920s ambiance with an inconspicuous entrance andÌýÌýthat prohibit cell phone use and photography. To enter the venue, ring the buzzer and provide the password. No RSVP is required.
Professor Christine Hrenya is serving as chair of this year’sÌý. The 2016 conference will run Nov. 13-18 and features presentations on cutting-edge research, new technologies and growth areas in chemical engineering.
