Daniel Skib is a freelance performer and educator based in Boulder, Colorado. Originally from Michigan, he studied at the University of Michigan with Adam Unsworth and Bryan Kennedy. After graduating, Skib moved to Los Angeles to continue his studies at the University of Southern California, working primarily with Kristy Morrell and Steven Becknell. While in Los Angeles, Skib performed with a wide variety of ensembles across the state of California including the Pacific Opera Project, Long Beach Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony and the Santa Barbara Symphony. 

After several years of working in Southern California, Skib returned to school to pursue his passion for higher education. Now a student at CU Boulder, he has been working as a Teaching Assistant in the French horn studio where he assist with undergraduate lessons and studio class. Outside of school, Skib teaches diverse brass students, ages 10 to 80. As a performer, he is currently the 4th horn of the Boulder Philharmonic, and has also enjoyed performances with Opera Colorado and the Colorado Symphony.Â
