Dr. Shideh Dashti is an Associate Professor in the Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her in听geotechnical engineering and geomechanics, focuses听on the influence of extreme climatic and seismic events on interacting soil-foundation-structure systems and geotechnical infrastructure. Dr. Dashti's goal is to help train engineers to be more globally-engaged in research and practice, through engaging them in internationally relevant projects and collaborating with experts in other countries and disciplines. She听also currently serves as the Associate Chair for Administration in the department of Civil, Environmental听and Architectural Engineering at the Univeristy of Colorado Boulder.

  • Resilience of cities and societies to natural disasters
