"Longitudinal Outpatient Treatment for Cannabis Use"
Reason for the Study: Cannabis is one of the most popular drugs of regular use. And specifically with the increasing popularity of high potency THC products, it is important that we both understand the implications of chronic use and how to help those who want to reduce their cannabis use. The aim of this study is to investigate whether CBD could be a viable intervention for people who want to quit or significantly reduce their consumption of high potency THC concentrates. LOTUS will examineÌýany differences in efficacy between broad spectrum CBD and full spectrum CBD at reducing withdrawal symptoms when compared to a placebo.Ìý
What you will do: This study involves seven in-person appointments and five remote therapy appointments. The first appointment will be at the Clinical and Translational Research Centers (CTRC) and the rest of the in-person appointments at our location, the Center for Innovation and Creativity (CINC). Participants will have their blood taken, complete surveys, and given a medication product that is either aÌýCBD product or placebo.Ìý
Who can be in the study: Participants must be 21 years or older, regular concentrate users, and be interested in quitting or reducing their cannabis use. Ìý
