Transfer graduate student receives prestigious AGU grant

Adam Wlostowski

When Adam Wlostowski transfers to CU-Boulder this summer to complete his PhD, he will be ready to hit the ground running with his research, thanks to a from the (AGU).  

Wlostowski was one of three PhD students nationwide to receive the 2015 grant, which aims to “promote excellence through encouragement of the next generation of professionals in hydrological sciences.” Wlostowski’s research focuses on understanding land-atmospheric interactions, surface water-groundwater exchanges, long-term river dynamics and long-term glacier mass balances within the McMurdo Dry Valleys.

Wlostowski is transferring to the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering and the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR) from Colorado State University, along with his advisor, Michael Gooseff. He and Gooseff contribute to research conducted at the , along with CEAE professor Diane McKnight.
