You can support threatened scholars worldwide! CAS and ISSS are asking for your help in raising funds to provide support to at-risk academic scholars impacted by disasters, civil unrest, and other crises.


The Colorado Afghan Evacuee Support Fund
The Colorado Afghan Evacuee Support Fund works to ensure that Colorado is prepared to welcome Afghan evacuees and connect them with community resources. Contributions will fund grants to organizations in Colorado that provide refugee resettlement services, health and mental health services for newcomers, legal services to help evacuees navigate available pathways for permanency in the U.S., and other forms of needed assistance.


Rubia Handwork
Rubia promotes women’s empowerment through education and income generation from the sale of their heritage handwork. We work with women in Afghanistan and Manchester, New Hampshire who are rebuilding their lives after prolonged conflict and displacement.


Masjid Ikhlas – Metropolitan Denver North Islamic Center
Masjid Ikhlas is committed to the Islamic way of life based on the Qur’an and life example of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). We serve as a center for religious development, social, educational, economic, and cultural enrichment.

Refugee Resettlement in Denver — Help Refugees Rebuild - Help Refugees Rebuild | African Community Center
The African Community Center operates a reception and placement program through ECDC, the Ethiopian Community Development Council. Basic resettlement services are provided for up to 90 days, and case management and employment services may be provided for up to 5 years.


Colorado Refugee Services Program | Colorado Department of Human Services
Current refugee research. In partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), CRSP manages the Colorado Centers of Excellence in Refugee Health.This Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded program collects and analyzes refugee medical screening data from seven states and health indicators from the medical screening clinics in Colorado.

Afghan Refugees - Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains
As you are aware, the United States has begun evacuating thousands of Afghans who worked for the US government ahead of the August 31 deadline for the end of operations in Afghanistan as part of Operation Allies Refuge. Current and former Afghan translators, interpreters, and others who have worked with the US government in Afghanistan.
