Sakura Foundation is beginning a series of presentations focusing on Asian ethnicities in order to share, inform, explore, and build bridges of understanding, respect, and harmony within the greater Denver/Rocky Mountain community. Asian community leaders Fran Campbell, Drew Domoto, and Annie Guo VanDan will share their cultural family traditions, perceptions of being "othered," and what they would like people to know about their Asian ethnicities. We hope their stories will light a flame of engagement and discussion, which will lead to a more understanding and compassionate community. We welcome people from ethnicities and all walks of life to attend!

The event will begin with a panel discussion from Fran, Drew, and Annie followed by Q&A. We will then share in delicious cuisine from Manila Bay Restaurant, Hong Kong Cafe, and Sushi-Rama (vegetarian options will be available) and have an active discussion on what it means to be Asian and how we can all be better allies to each other.

Tickets for this event are $18 each for the general public and $15 each for members of Sakura Foundation, who will receive an email with the membership code. If you would like to become a member, just sign up at before you purchase your ticket for this event.
