Jamie Horsley is Senior Fellow at the Paul Tsai China Center and Visiting Lecturer-in-Law at Yale Law School, as well as Visiting Fellow at the Brookings John L. Thornton China Center. A Trustee of the Yale-China Association and a Yale since 2002, she formerly was Executive Director of the Yale China Law Center. Her project work and research primarily involve issues of governance and regulatory reform in China. She has authored numerous articles, portfolios and book chapters on topics relating to China鈥檚 legal and governance developments. Prior to joining Yale, she was a partner in an international law firm; Commercial Attach茅, U.S. Embassies in Beijing and Manila; corporate executive based in China; and consultant to The Carter Center鈥檚 China Village Elections Project. She was a Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars for 2015-16, and lived, studied and worked in the Greater China area for 12 years. She holds a Stanford University B.A., a University of Michigan Chinese Studies M.A., and a Harvard Law School J.D.
