New Videography Internship Offered through the Center for Asian Studies

ASIA 4930: Center for Asian Studies Videography Internship
In the fall 2015 semester, the Center for Asian Studies is looking for a motivated and energetic intern who will film and archive CAS Speaker Series events. This position is a unique learning opportunity to work with multi-media in an interesting and multicultural environment.
The position will begin the first week of classes and will run through the last week before finals. It will require 3 hours per week for a total of 45 hours over the course of the semester. The intern will receive academic credit in lieu of monetary compensation.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- CAS will provide camera and computer equipment, unless intern has equipment he/she would prefer to use
- Work closely with staff members of the Center for Asian Studies
- Be available during several speaker events each month; events usually are scheduled late afternoon
- Upload videos to social media and CAS website:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have completed a minimum of 30 hours of college-level coursework with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 before the start of fall semester
- Must have filming and video editing experience
- Responsible and reliable
- Able to work independently and creatively
- Organized and efficient
The selection will be made by Friday, September 11. The student selected for the internship will be enrolled into the course before the add deadline during the fall semester, and will be responsible for paying tuition for the internship.
