The ‘challenge’ mindset is an approach to career exploration focused on finding challenges to tackle instead of job titles to fit into. This interactive experienceÌýis designed to help youÌýfind a career path based on exciting, real-world challengesÌýthat go beyondÌýjob titles. This deck of 30 cards covers challenges in the future of work in the areas of health, technology, society, environment and the economy. After completing the activity, you will receiveÌýa customized Challenge Profile with a career exploration action plan.

  1. Go to and click Sign Up or Get Started.
  2. Create a Student account using your colorado.edu email address and CU Boulder’s code: CUCareer.Ìý
  3. Follow the instructions and sort the Challenge Cards.
  4. Review your Challenge Profile (PDF) which includes your top three challenges and suggested activities to help you get involved with your selected challenges.
  5. Talk with a friend, trusted mentor or career advisor about your results and next steps.
