Professional experience doesn’t just have to look like an internship. While you could still pursue an internship in your first year, this is a great time to build up your resume by getting involved on campus.Ìý

Part-time jobs on or off campus are also a great way to explore the kinds of work settings you enjoy (or don’t) to help inform your future career decisions. Connect with Career Services early, especially in your first year at CU Boulder. Peer career advisors can help you explore options and share additional resources during an express appointment. Or, if you prefer a virtual drop-in, you can attend office hours, which don’t require an appointment.ÌýÌý

You also have an assigned academic advisor dedicated to helping you plan for graduation and identify what courses fulfill requirements. Advisors help you explore your options and personalize your CU Boulder academic experience. Plan to meet with your advisor at least once a semester to stay on track.ÌýÌý
