In our fast-paced, ever-changing business world, MBA programs must continue to evolve how they deliver a forward-looking education. This is what the MBA Roundtable association looks for in awarding its global : new ideas, approaches, programs, curricula and processes at business schools that advance innovation in MBA education and drive change in the field.

This year, the Leeds School of Business was chosen as one of four finalists for its development of the High Growth Venture (HGV) Fellowship.

A trailblazing idea
The Deming Center of Entrepreneurship at Leeds introduced the HGV Fellowship two years ago—a program that leverages the school’s close ties with local and national venture communities. While many schools focus on startups, the Deming Center goes a step further with this unprecedentedÌýprogram.

It essentially drops MBA students into the world of scalable startups. A combination of coursework, co-curricular options, workshops and summerÌýinternships immerses students in academic and experiential learning unique to growth-stage companies—preparing them to work at high growth ventures or launch one of their own.

Who made the cut
Besides Leeds, the other three finalists included Fordham University, University at Buffalo and University of Rochester. Each school covered every aspect of the content-pedagogy-format curricular framework with impactful reach locally and globally, and with benefits to the learner, business and community.

Congratulations to the Deming Center at Leeds.
