Hey students, want a job in ESG and sustainability in the private sector?
This bootcamp will build your knowledge and networks, help you identify opportunities, and prepare you to ace an interview.
Leeds students and industry advisers have shaped a day that will be hyper relevant for business students, covering topics including:
- Key professional skills to land ESG, sustainability, and other impact-oriented roles
- Understanding what different sustainability jobs look like day-to-day
- What the "E," the "S," and the "G" are, and how they fit together

- Vail Resorts
Michael Leeds served as Chairperson of the Leeds School of Business Advisory Board from 2002 to 2007. In 2001, he led his family’s endowment of the University of Colorado’s then College of Business to increase academic excellence, expand its curriculum to include Ethics and Social Responsibility as part of the core-curriculum and to increase diversity in the student body, the faculty and the PHD program. He continues to be very active in the Board’s leadership as Chair Emeritus.
- ESG Advisor (formerly with NVIDIA)
Tonie’s passion is to build forward-thinking, resilient, and purpose-led technology companies. At NVIDIA, she oversees corporate responsibility and ESG, a function she helped to build since starting in 2006. As a strategist and communicator, she drives initiatives that strengthen NVIDIA’s ESG and brand reputation. Tonie publishes the company’s ESG report and engages with shareholders, NGOs, and customers to understand their expectations and present NVIDIA’s positioning around ESG issues.

Deanna Bratter joined Crocs, Inc. in 2022 as Vice President, Global Head of Sustainability & ESG. Deanna is responsible for driving the company toward its aggressive goal of achieving net zero, and enhancing commitments and impacts across environmental sustainability, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG).
- Dallas Symphony Orchestra (formerly with SiriusXM)
Dr. Glyne A. Griffith II holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree with a Specialization in Organizational Leadership. He currently serves as Vice President of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Impact for the Dallas Symphony Association. He works collaboratively across the organization to develop, monitor, and report on actionable EDI, culture goals, and social impact strategies and metrics in alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic plan.
Diane joined Google in June 2012 and is the Director of Communications and Culture for the sumUX team. sumUX provides user experience research and design for some of Google’s most prominent products such as Search, Assistant, the daily Google Doodle and Maps. Prior to this role she lead Google’s global employee giving and volunteering programs. Diane joined Google with over 25 years in the not for profit sector, and spent 13 years leading a consultancy that helped companies design and implement corporate social responsibility programs.
- Salesforce
Megan Lorenzen (MBA'21) has been an instrumental member of Salesforce’s Impact team for more than 5 years. As Director of Climate & Energy at Salesforce, Megan leads the global climate policy program, advocating for policies that set the world on a path to a just transition to a 1.5-degree future. Megan also leads the company’s power sector decarbonization efforts, including catalyzing new, high-impact, renewable energy projects to maintain Salesforce’s global 100% renewable energy commitment and building the company’s cross-functional energy transition strategy.
- Sustainable Packaging Expert (formerly with Dow)
Tony Kingsbury is President and owner of TKingsbury LLC a boutique consulting group specializing in plastics, packaging, and chemical sustainability. He also service on the advisory boards of SPRING (Sustainable Packaging Research Innovation Networking Group) and Archipelago Eco Investors.
- Danone
John Lee is the Director of Mission and Sustainability at Danone, a global leader in the food industry and B Corp member. At Danone, Mr. Lee is responsible for achieving targets in decarbonization, regenerative agriculture, watershed restoration, circularity, and waste.
Nikki Skinner - CU Boulder
Nikki Skinner joined the Leeds faculty as Assistant Professor of Accounting in Summer of 2023, following four years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on the role of financial and non-financial disclosures in capital markets, with several recent working papers examining ESG disclosures specifically. Skinner is currently developing ESG Reporting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level for Leeds.
- CESR
Kathryn brings more than 15 years of experience in global sustainability, corporate social responsibility and entrepreneurship to the University of Colorado Boulder. Most recently, she consulted for, and served on the board of, The Climate Initiative, a nonprofit working to empower youth voices for climate action. Prior to that, she was part of the executive leadership team at Stanford Seed—the university’s Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies—where she led the development and deployment of systems and processes that enabled Stanford Seed’s programs to scale globally.
