Leeds 鶹Ժ Launch Net Impact Undergraduate Chapter
For over 15 years, the Leeds School of Business has been home toanMBA graduate Net Impact chapterrecently recognized as one of the top-three chapters in the world. Undergraduate students at Leeds are equally passionate about the Net Impact mission of creatingpositive social and environmental change in the workplace and the world, and through the support of CESR, have launched a new undergraduate chapter. While the undergraduate chapter will be a separate entity, there will be close collaboration between the two on programming opportunities including guest speakers and specialevents.
CESR InstructorDon Oest is the chapter’s faculty sponsor and has facilitated the organizational steps of the chapter’s creation. He will also play a role in the operation of the organization as an advisor to event planning and selection, and as a liaison to corporate and other external partners.
The scope of the undergrad chapterwill extend beyond Leedsstudents to an academically diverse student body. “Our plan is to begin spreading the word about the group to the CSR classes and community of Leeds, and then reach out to other schools across campus to find interested students,” says founding member Alexa McNaul.“We hope that Net Impact will be a place for students of anymajor to meet otherstudents and professionals that are interested in socially responsible careers.”
