The Biochemistry and Chemistry Departments thank the聽Hynes family聽for their generous support and interest in our聽Chemistry聽students! This year's award was given to one Chemistry student, Brandon Willey. Chemistry Chair, Wei Zhang, stepped in to represent this scholarship and the Hynes family was unable to attend due to unexpected events.
The Teresa Fonseca Memorial Fund is awarded based on the following criteria:
1) Significant and creative role on outstanding research, typically research accepted for publication in an appropriate scientific journal.
2) If comparable achievement in multiple areas, preference to Theoretical Chemistry research.
