Julio Montoya holds a degree in aerospace engineering but developed his professional career in finance. Initially in corporate finance, he then moved to investment banking, accumulating extensive experience in infrastructure financing and M&A. Julio is an expert in public private partnerships (PPP). After several years with a commercial bank, he collaborated with the Inter-American Development Bank in advising the government of Peru on PPP projects (two hospitals in the north and a water treatment plant in the southern jungle), while overseeing his own business. He wants to use his experiences, his “engineer’s heart” and master creative design and development concepts to technically support people in rural areas and to help channel the funding needed to implement practical solutions to their basic infrastructure and/or sustainable small business’ needs.
