Emma received a Bachelor of ScienceÌýin cognitive science with a focus in human computer interaction (HCI) from the University of California Santa Cruz. While at UCSC, she was a research assistant in the Computational and Experimental Cognition Lab, which focused on cognitive processing in the context of speech production and reading aloud. Emma is interested in the ways that technology can be utilized to improve our health and well-being and how designers can make technology more accessible and transparent.
