Codependent Algorithms, code-based artwork by Joel Swanson, ATLAS assistant professor, is on exhibition for the 26th International Symposium on Electronic Art. Themed "Why Sentience?," the hybrid online/on-site program features works adapted to the virtual platform, with more than 100 local and international artists.

CTD instructor, Kevin Hoth's, large-scale, instant film mosaics are being featured in a solo exhibition at the Boulder Creative Collective. The exhibit, "Immortal Chromatic" runs Oct. 9-21, 2020 in the AKA Gallery. Advanced scheduling is required to view the exhibit.

HyunJoo Oh, assistant professor at Georgia Tech and ATLAS alumna, spoke on the panel, "Remembering Mike Eisenberg," at 2020 FabLearn - 9th Annual Conference on Maker Education. Eisenberg was a CU Boulder professor of computer science and one of Oh's dissertation advisors. He passed away on March 12, 2019.

FabLearn's international community of educators, researchers and policy makers are committed to integrating the principles of constructionist learning, or “making" into formal and informal K-12 education.

Shaz Zamore, ATLAS instructor and STEM outreach coordinator, coauthors this blog affiliated with the Integrative and Comparative Biology journal. "Having a network of fellow Black nature and STEM enthusiasts encourages us to contribute ideas and perspectives our non-Black peers may not have considered," Zamore wrote with coauthor Alexus Roberts. "In turn, starting these conversations can promote political discourse that may not have otherwise occurred. Simply put, our presence is change."
