Bret McSpadden graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from Baker University. Prior to entering the ATLAS MS ICTD program, he volunteer-taught with WorldTeach in northern Namibia and later managed the WorldTeach programs in Namibia, working closely with volunteers and the Ministry of Education to help close gaps in ICT and English education. After leaving Namibia, Bret continued with WorldTeach in Boston overseeing yearlong and summer programs in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Pacific while also working to standardize health and safety procedures and manage technology throughout the organization. Bret completed his ICTD practicum as a research assistant with the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering in collaboration with USAID's Sustainable WASH Systems Learning Partnership (SWS) in the Afar Regional State of Ethiopia on process documentation in order to identify gaps and plan for future stakeholder engagement. After graduation, Bret was hired as a full-time project manager by WorldTeach and continues his work on the project.Ìý
