Barbara MacFerrin received her BS in information systems security.聽 While in the ATLAS MS ICTD program, she focused on digital storytelling for climate science, concentrating on how to most effectively communicate high level scientific research to the wider general population. She completed her ICTD practicum working in collaboration with the city of Boulder and the Youth Opportunities Advisory Board on development and production of a short film about climate change impacts and opportunities for action with local youth. She also worked on a climate change film with CU Boulder, where she was hired to stay on the project after graduation. She produced educational videos related to polar bears and climate change in Churchill, Alaska.
