Ayesha Rawal is an artist, designer, and engineer based in Boulder, CO. She is fascinated by the intersection between art, engineering, and the natural world, and how it can be utilized to create a more compassionate and sustainable community. Ayesha grew up harboring a love for reptiles, as well as for creating and fabrication. She is now deeply intrigued by natural ecosystems and how conservation can be furthered through innovations in technology and design. Ayesha aspires to design exhibits for zoos and aquariums that further conservation and sustainability programs, help educate others about these underappreciated animals, and push the boundaries of reptile husbandry and conservation. Her career as a Master’s student will be focused on developing technical and creative skills to fabricate naturalistic exhibits, promote reptile welfare, and contribute to sustainability efforts, as well as to promote creativity and joy within her own life and around her.
