Christian Gonzalez

Christian Abigail Gonzalez (she/they pronouns) was born and raised on Chumash peoples land in Santa Maria, CA to immigrant parents from Guerrero and Guanajuato, Mexico. A first-generation college graduate, they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder and Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO. They are currently a doctoral student at Colorado State University, Fort Collins in the Higher Education Leadership program.

Over the past 10 years, Christian has dedicated their career to working in higher education in various capacities including outreach, financial aid, student affairs, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The running river that ties their work together is advocating for educational equity for historically and presently marginalized students in higher education. Christian is proud to be from the Montbello neighborhood in far northeast Denver and loves spending time with their family in Denver, including their niece and nephew, Lupita and Jose.
