Artist Statement
My work delves into the Human Condition as it is understood through my niche lens. My subjects are depicted in oil paint, utilizing religious/mythical iconography and classical aesthetics to create an air of grandeur, as well as depict the tremendous highs and lows of being alive and forming relationships with one another. To be loved is to know joy and pain; I paint to reflect this.
