My work reflects an ongoing exploration of the complexities in the balance of masculine and feminine energy. I create abstract forms that draw reference from architectural elements such as wrought iron, tiles, and breeze blocks, observing how these masculine landscapes live in the femininity of the natural world. Using a formulation of terracotta hemp-fiber clay, I coil-build a delicate space that encourages conversation on the evolving relationship between humanity, our environment, and man-made landscapes, emphasizing issues centering on climate change and women’s rights.Ìý
