David began a 15-year career in the medical sales and marketing industry upon graduating from CU Boulder.  After several years of gaining sales experience in Ohio, David moved back to Colorado and continued in surgical sales until joining Zimmer, Inc. as a marketing manager.  This position provided the opportunity to travel worldwide and after a couple of years with Zimmer, David met his future wife Ginger who also worked for the company.

Several years later, David and Ginger were married and continued their careers in the medical industry. They started their family which grew to two boys- Will and Thomas, and two girls-Taylor and Claire (not in that order). While still serving as a surgical sales representative, David became a franchisee of Arby’s and built multiple locations over an 8 year period until finally giving up his “day job” in sales to franchise with another national restaurant chain and moving the family back to Colorado.  This restaurant business would grow over the years to include multiple national brands —Arby’s, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, Slim Chickens, and Dunkin in both Ohio and Colorado. David has been joined in the business by his two sons and his son in law.

The Giesen’s have been blessed with six grandchildren — soon to be seven!  They enjoy spending time with family and travel.  David has been a lifelong devotee to the Buffs and has followed them all over the country including many of the most classic football venues in the country!  He is passionate
